Bio

Dritan Nesho is an entrepreneur, executive and investor in the data and digital economy sectors. He is also a noted public opinion researcher affiliated with Harvard University.

Since 2017, Dritan has served as the Founder and CEO of HarrisX – a voter and consumer research, data analytics, and technology solutions company focused on public policy, consumer technology, media, and telecommunications. Dritan previously led the turnaround of Nielsen’s Mobile Industry division (acquired in 2017 by the Stagwell Group, a private equity platform) and served as CEO of Northstar Research Partners (integrated into HarrisX in 2022). He is the founder and chief technologist of Telephia, a consumer data platform that operates under HarrisX. The companies are backed by Stagwell Inc. (trading as STGW), a leading digital media, marketing and analytics public holding company.

As a public opinion researcher, Dritan ran the most accurate poll of the 2020 Presidential election through the HarrisX/Hill News paperpartnership. He has lectured at Harvard University since 2014 on political polling and opinion research and co-directs the Harvard CAPS/ Harris poll, a monthly public policy poll conducted by the Harvard Center for American Political Studies (CAPS), and The Harris Poll. He is also a Fellow of the Institute for Quantitative Social Sciences at Harvard (2016 to date).

Beforehand, Dritan served as a Director of Product Management in the Technology and Civic Engagement group (2016-2017) and Director of Corporate Strategy, Special Projects and M&A (2012-2016) at Microsoft Corporation. There he reported to the Chief Strategy Officer and advised two Microsoft CEOs on core consumer and business strategy issues. At Microsoft, Dritan helped build an executive strategy and rapid-response ‘SWAT team’, co-founded and oversaw the development of Microsoft Pulse, a real-time audience and consumer voting and analytics platform that was integrated with Microsoft Azure and Office, and was involved in building Microsoft’s campaign technology services ecosystem (now the Cybersecurity and Democracy division).

Prior to Microsoft, Dritan served as Vice President and Corporate Chief of Staff at Penn Schoen Berland, a leading strategic consulting firm, and was a Director and Chief of Staff to the global CEO of Burson-Marsteller, the public relations and public affairs giant (both owned by WPP group). Dritan started his career as a pollster and has extensive international polling and campaign experience in over 40 countries. He is regularly cited on public policy and business strategy by the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, The Hill, The Messenger, Forbes, and Variety, and other publications.

Dritan is an investor in MoonPay and a Venture Partner in Story Fund and Trillith Ventures. He graduated from Harvard College with a joint BS/BA degree in economics and government and is a former research assistant to the late social scientist, Samuel P. Huntington.
