How do voters respond to AI in the context of political elections? Is AI a potential sleeper issue in 2024? With data gathered from HarrisX Overnight Poll, this dashboard provides a wide range of insights on the public opinion on AI, registered voters' ability to differentiate AI and organic content, and how AI will shape the landscape of the 2024 general election.
-------------
HarrisX conducted a poll through the HarrisX Overnight Poll to understand current perceptions of Artificial Intelligence (AI), measure registered voters’ ability to differentiate between AI-generated and organic content, gauge the perceived impact of AI-enabled content on the landscape of the upcoming 2024 general election, and assess the appetite for regulations of AI in an election context.
This survey was conducted online within the United States from May 10-14 among 3,447 registered voters by HarrisX.
Respondents for this poll were recruited through opt-in, web-panel recruitment sampling. Recruitment occurred though a broad variety of professional, validated respondent panels to expand the sampling frame as wide as possible and minimize the impact of any given panel on recruiting methods.
The results reflect a nationally representative sample of registered voters. Results were weighted for age, gender, region, race/ethnicity, income, education, and political party where necessary to align them with their actual proportions in the population.
