This week, HarrisX data was prominently featured in a White House memo sent to congressional Democrats, highlighting broad public support for the Biden administration’s bipartisan infrastructure plan.
As reported by The Hill, the memo — authored by senior presidential advisor Mike Donilon — cited multiple polls, including the Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll and a HarrisX survey conducted for No Labels, to emphasize the political momentum behind the $1.2 trillion infrastructure package currently moving through Congress.
The Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll, a joint project between HarrisX and the Center for American Political Studies at Harvard University, found that 70 to 72 percent of Americans support the bipartisan infrastructure plan — signaling wide approval that cuts across party lines. Additionally, HarrisX polling conducted in July for No Labels, which surveyed battleground congressional districts, revealed that 72 percent of voters want a new infrastructure bill passed with bipartisan support.
These findings were shared by the White House as part of its push to unify Democratic lawmakers and highlight the president’s continued appeal among voters. Donilon wrote that recent polls “reaffirm that voters want [the] bipartisan infrastructure deal and President Biden has united the Democratic party.”
At HarrisX, we are proud to play a role in bringing credible, timely insights to the national conversation. Our polling continues to help leaders across the political spectrum understand what voters are thinking — not just in D.C., but in battleground districts and communities across the country.
With negotiations around infrastructure continuing, it’s clear that public opinion remains a powerful driver.
